Our school day
Our school day begins at 8.45am for all children (Reception to Year 6).

Children in Key Stage 2 must be in school for 8.45am ready to start their learning.
Children in Reception and Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) must wait at the gate for a staff member to welcome them before entering school.  Reception children will then have a meet and greet outside to start the day, whilst children in Years 1 and 2 can go straight to class to start their morning activities.

Our school day finishes at 3.15pm for all children.

We are passionate about our children making the most of their school experience and enjoying the opportunities that we provide.  Therefore, we ask all parents to do their upmost to ensure that their children are in school promptly for the start of the school day in order to maximise their learning and time with us at St Buryan Academy.  If your child is late for whatever reason, then please contact the school office.

During the school day we cover the National Curriculum through our own personalized, unique learning experiences taught through a curriculum that we have devised ourselves to suit the needs of our children and school.  You can read more about our curriculum on our 'Curriculum' page.
We also offer a range of other experiences throughout the day and week, so please be sure to check your child's class page, our newsletters, emails and texts to see what is going on in the school.

Please note that our nursery is open 9am-3pm for 3 and 4 year olds and 1pm-3pm for 2 year olds.  Bookings should be made through the office.
